Pros & Cons

Pros

This item is fantastic for this sort of hobby use. One drawback is no stop on the tension.

Add an 8mm washer to each side of each pulley and each spacer. Use silicone lubricant to lubricate the pulleys and their washers.

Staghorn fern can be lifted up to a hook 6 feet up, so it could be attached with a chain. Worked perfect to lift a 95lb (shorty) water heater into our attic. Perfect for lifting a full 160lb beer keg.

Cons

The line was discolored and frayed in several places. Not a good thing for a hoist. It's too flimsy.

The rope twists so badly that the snowblower spins. The rope constantly twists the two metal segments of the system, making it perpetually out of alignment. I will be buying some kern mantle rope or something else that will not twist.

Very tiny sapling. Can't hoist up without substantial weight on the hook. Maybe 400 lbs.
