Not really enough space between them but if you watch how you place to peddles and face them in opposite directions it will work

I let a little air out of my tires then pushed down on the bike when securing the arm hook and the bike is going nowhere fast

I subtracted 1 star because its a little difficult to put together because some bolts are not long enough and when the nut falls into the grooves you cannot securely tighten it enough because the wrench slips off
