I got the idea from instructables where someone built a 8x8 grid from foamcore board around 40 square and put an rgb led inside each of the 64 compartments then wire them up the same as this prebuilt display

There are no seams or notches on the face making the front appearance very flat and clean and all the electronics are sealed and hidden causing me believe the unit could survive in a high dust or high humidity climate
