I didnt use the spanner to remove the tub nut because it was frozen after to 9 years of corrosion and calcium buildup

If yours is corroded you are not likely to remove it with the spanner use a good cordless 12inch impact wrench with a 11116 deep impact socket available here on amazon

I did use the spanner to tighten the tub nut because cordless impact wrenches should not be used for tightening

The bottom of the spanner nut is flared to go into the inner tub flare and thats probably where its gonna stick due to corrosion so you need to break that up and also try to get penetrating oil into there

Bang down on the top of the wrench all around the nut and then try hammering to spin it alternate back and forth between doing the two and it should come loose
