Pros

Replaced ice maker in the jenn-air fridge. Fridge is 14 yrs old & this is first repair. Unit functioned perfectly on the first shot.

Cons

Icemaker only lasted 37 days. No info as far as warranty goes. Only lasted 3 years.

It was used for 2 - 3 months and has flaked paint big time. Not sure if the teflon (? I’m assuming the coating allows for easier release of the ice from the trays, but regardless, the flaking renders the unit worthless.

The wiring harness is often not included with a replacement icemaker. I'm not sure if this is done to just confuse and overwhelm the poor home diyer. Without the connector, there's no way to make an adapter harness.
