I have to use kitchen timer and then unplug this unit after 45 minutes 15 minutes before it boils 30 minutes of boil

However unlike my old one that gave out and shut off after 15 min instead of 2 hrs this one does shut off after 2 hrs

I just got one of these at a local herb store mine is the chinese model ss3040 but is exactly the same thing as the ny636
