Tripod fits my smart phone as well, i just pop out the handle from my selfie stick and screw the holder onto the tripod. Mine has none of the problems of broken parts or locks that don't lock or jam up.

I bought it mostly to use with my cell phone since it takes better pictures and video than my canon t2i dslr
