Bought this for our fire pit. This thing is a beast! Very impressed. Well worth the price. Very pleased with the product.
The fire pit is 20 inches deep at the base (lower than walls) and filled with lava rock. This helps allow oxygen underneath the burning wood. It permits just enough clearance underneath it for oxygen flow to give the fire more flame.
This particular size fits perfectly in the chiminea pictured. The diameter is two to three times the size and takes the high temp beating. Perfectly sized and great quality.
I am truly impressed with the fabrication and thickness of this fire pit grate. This grate is very well made of heavy gauge steel.
Cons
After a little less than 2 years of being outdoors, it has tons of surface rust.

Only complaint is that the product was poorly packaged and had three spots that were already rusted when arriving
