Pros

This charge controller is great for small applications such as keeping the battery in a portable generator. Open circuit voltage is about 17 and change when hooked up to the panel. Using this for my solar generator project.

Cons

Chronic undercharging shortens battery life.

The 12 volt controller is not the first 12 volt controllers i have used. The battery connectors have ring clips--not as useful when attaching to a car battery as alligators clips.
