It has elements of suspense, tension, drama, sadness and a little romance. None of the characters are one-dimensional; even the antagonist plantation owner has her flaws and at times you might sympathize with.
Do yourself a favor and read this astounding book. This book is part of the ๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐พ๐ง๐ฟ trilogy. It is a hefty read, but definitely a worthwhile read.
Cons
But georgie's point of view was soooo boring and could have been cut completely from the story. It reads more like a harlequin romance novel.
