Pros

Charger works as advertised as far as durability and as advertised. It looks durable and able to withstand the bounces, salt and sand of this environment.

Beats lugging the batteries out of boat to charge. The solar panel is enclosed in a very rugged weather proof case. The charging indicator light is helpful and shows it's charging.

The car battery itself is a large central reservoir. I have this 10w model hooked up through the fuse box with an add-a-circuit plug.

Cons

The specs say it has a diode to prevent discharging the battery at night it doesn't. Never went green and completely drained our batteries in two weeks. Then melted and came apart.
