Kristin hannah is a word wizard! This book focuses on forgiveness in relationship whether deserved or not. This story encapsulates how the ones you love can hurt you the most, but also have the strongest ability for forgiveness.

Cons

Sappy, contrived drivel that was barely edited. The writing is just 'choppy' this kind of drivel makes me sick. I was exhausted.

This reads like harlequin romance novel. It's hard to believe that she could have improved her writing so much between this book and the one that got so many raves, nightingale.

The characters are so stereotypical it's almost insulting. Story is so common and obvious. Full of cliches, melodrama, implausible events. Flat one dimensional characters.
