There is one botton in the corner where four presses are for different settings. The on/off button is on the pillow. The power button has four functions - press the power button once, to start the massage with thermal therapy.
Mesh fabric is breathable. Heat is gentle and soothing. Cushion warms up and massages you.
Overall from a sceptic i have become a fan of my shiatsu machine. I was just sighing in utter bliss as it unknotted my back with ease.
