Also the lock plastic slides have to be aligned closely so the flap door will open and close freely

I had previously bought a smaller pet door the flap was 6x 6 and it was really too small to easily encourage my 14 lb

I wish the latches allowing the door to swing open or stay locked were a bit better quality or easier to use
