When i am lacing up the laces move smoothly through the eyelets of the boots but they also keep the lace tight all the way up until the last eyelet has been tightened

My pairs of docs all came with laces that didnt stay put when lacing were difficult to keep laced tight especially for the taller boots and on one pair they were fraying out after just two wearings
