Pros
For those that are hesitant to attempt this on their own, there's always youtube! The recently updated firmware and parking mode, 30fps, is great. Video quality and storage capacity is excellent.
Cons
Customer service is fine but is condescending. Formatting these cards in my computer and dashcam only gets it to work once and then it stops during the trip. It's a shame because i spent a lot of time researching this two years ago.

First they sent me the sg9663dc rather than the sg9663dcpro which at first i didn’t realize

Attempting to upgrade the firmware wouldn’t work as i was trying to apply the firmware for sg9663dcpro rather than sg9663dc which is different

Next issue is with the camera freezing intermittently for days at a time where the camera stops recording the red light doesn’t flash and the display shows either the startup screen or a previously captured image for hours

I’ve tried lots of things to no avail like switching from the sgdchw power to use the cigarette lighter power leaving the rear camera unplugged reformatting the 256gb sd card that came with it resetting it back to factory settings

Reformatting doesnt resolve the issue sufficiently as itll work for one minute then 5 minutes later it is frozen up again

To make things worse my son just was involved in an accident where he was hit by someone else and there was no video of what happened due to that camera freezing issue the sd card showed no videos for the last week

Since then the company sent me new front and rear sg9663dcpro cameras and a different sd card that hasnt exhibited the same issue
