Pros

This light is compact & lightweight.

The battery lasts a long time. I like the rechargeable battery, and cr123's can be packed along as spares.

Streamlight protac hl is great for leo use on outer vest with molle. Clip seems sturdy and provides a descent sheath. Fits well on my radio strap.

I am a big believer in the streamlight brand. This seems to be a top notch quality product for half the price. Only complaint is it does get really hot.

Cons

The default mode is bright and strobe. Only goes from dim to medium, which is not even a defined mode. Useless light to me as unable to program. I have a 500 lumen streamlight macrostream that is a lot brighter than this 1,000 lumen pro tac 90x.

It even rivals some of my bigger lights for brightness and because of its small size i carry it everywhere

I would chose another manufacturer over streamlight for that reason alone
