Pros
The only issues i've had is frequent battery leakage. I use them down to 4 or to when the switch fails from battery leakage whichever comes first. We still use one that is 15+ years old, about 2 yrs of rough outdoor use.
Cons
It rattles around in there and the light flickers until you hold it just right. This behavior occurs with alkaline or rechargeable batteries.

I run lithium batts in it so its lighter but i used to use panasonic eneloop rechargeables
For once a manufacturer did not sell a tacticool bright flashlight which eats up my batteries
However if you want a bright flashlight that requires 4aa batteries that cost less than 50 then this is the best option available

Even though it uses 4aa it only burn at about 65 lumens in a flood pattern
