Streamlight has their own 18650 rechargeable battery with a micro-usb charging port built right into the battery. Buy an extra battery so one is always charged. Have 2 extra streamlight 18650s ready to go as backups.
Light punches thru the gloom well and lasts as long as their advertisement claims. I wear glasses like many others and this does not have a glare effect when worn without a hat. It's noticeably heavier than every other light i have worn.
This headlamp is amazing. Used it every day. Still going strong. By far my favorite.
This is the third streamlight headlamp i have owned and it overachieves in every category. Buying this light is a no-brainer. Very good dependable headlamps.

I finally ran a battery down to the point it needed to be changed and it took almost 7 hours of use

After my first charge i used this headlamp off and on for 3 days when i noticed that it was starting to dim do to needing to be charged i left it on to make sure the battery went completely dead this was early in the morning to my surprise when i returned to it that night it was still on
