The microscope has knobs to control the height. Also onboard is adjustable leds to move the light for the perfect view. It's very simple to use, so it doesn't cause any frustration like a cheap optical microscope we tried was.

Rechargeable 2200 mah lithium ion battery. It has a built in rechargeable battery but needs to be plugged in to a power supply for the base light.
Microscopes are one of those things that are pretty pricey and you need to pay top dollar for something great. As for criticism, i have few, and they are all nominal. The build quality is pretty solid.

Another nice thing to see was the packaging of this item everything is nicely arranged inside the box to the tee
It makes this a much nicer experience to learn together and were surprised by how clear and nice the images appeared on the screen

It comes packaged in a nice looking professional box so its definitely comes in a giftable presentation
The 5inch fhd lcd display can capture 19201080 pixel photos and also record videos that can be stored in a microsd card not included
If you need to see cells needs at least 400x zoom or have a kid who’s a science whizz you’ll want something better
Its unique and nonreplaceable so get a labelmaker and make sure you know exactly what its for so you dont throw it out by accident

While its not a heavy allmetal microscope like another one we own it does have a rather large color display that really is a gamechanger

While its not obvious this microscrope is actually two units the base which can be powered on its own using the included adapter and charging cable and the microscrope portion with the screen

The 5 screen is quite a bit better quality than i was expecting and the included remote control offers additional control over what you can do on the screen itself

If you are a teacher the video feature allows you to record whats on the screen and you can even record it with your voice through an external mic

The only problem with video is that any shaking of the microscope even just the table shaking will produce a wobbly video

The plastic is quite rigid and i do not get the feeling that this will break outside of some major carelessness abuse

The microscope base needs to be plugged in if you want the slide to be back lit which seems like a weird oversight when the microscope itself has a rechargeable battery and can be used wirelessly

You dont always need the backlight such as when youre just putting solid objects under the microscope but youll always always want it when looking at prepared slides
