When we changed the crpet on the upstairs landing for wood planks where the carpet pile kept light from leaking under the doors now theres nothing and theres a lot of light leaking as the doors all seem a bit too short

The left over piece makes a good fake moustache

Maybe not quite the same seal as the flexible silicone type that is just in contact with the floor a bit like a windscreen wiper

The solution seems to be squeezing the cut end to prevent this from happening
