Sten's series is somewhat reminiscent of louise penny's inspector gamache books with a picturesque evocative setting, multidimensional characters, and lush descriptions of meals. Thomas is extremely likeable.
Viveca sten writes with authority. Nicely done, always entertaining. Just a nice pleasant book.
Am downloading second book in series. Thank you amazon for making kindle unlimited. There were several uses of the word ‘suddenly’ and a double up of three paragraphs toward the end of the kindle version.

It was delightful not grisly like the girl with the dragon tattoo series but still all i could want in a murder mystery
It was a light summer read i was entertained and satisfied
The story is well written but moves along very slowly and i almost gave up with the pace
Im mildly in love with the scandinavian countries so i was happy that sweden is the spot where this book takes place
