It is noisier sounds tinnyscratchy and of lesser quality than the 21yearold lewis brand latch i replaced and disappointingly the square drive that holds the spindle is plastic

My only reservation is that the the square part where the spindle connecting the the handles slides through is made of plastic rather than grey metal as shown in the pictures
