The phone has never come loose from the mount

So you have to tilt the arm forward to clear the base

But that also lowers the phone and so there isnt enough room between the bottom of the phone and the dashboard to plug in the power cord unless the base is very near the edge of your dashboard

So it did have to reposition it a couple of times to find the best spot on the dashboard to allow me to see the phone and still be able to plug the phone in while having a solid footing on the dashboard
