Pros

The characters will develop as i read more, i am sure. At 12, this book is much better than some unfavorable reviews suggest. Kept the car running in order to finish chapters in the audible version.

The concept of the galactics rule was thought provoking.

Cons

The motivations of the main character are about on par with your average high school freshman too. Every other character isn't worth mentioning. James mcgill is too good as theprotagonist.

A complete divorce from logic. Needs a fair bit of tightening up. This book is so mediocre i can't begin to understand the reviews. Savr your money and time.

It's like a high school freshman's first attempt at creative writing. Feels like it was written by a 10 year old and his buddies on a bawls filled night of what-ifs. It looks like a photocopy of the cover blown up.

The galactic a empire rules and economy are too simplistic and far fetched. It reads as almost a parody of better military sci-fi.
