Pros

This is very finely cut into very small pieces called groats. They are easy to cook and much more filling than regular oatmeal products. I make steel cut oats in a rice cooker using the 'porridge mode' which not all cookers have.

The amount of protein and fiber in these make for an excellent breakfast for my diet. The result is chewy, but not tough. I use a mini-slo-cooker to prepare and it takes an hour or so. Delicious and good texture.

The company actually sells these directly on their website at the same price. That is in one sack! Most stores around here charge approximately $2. Significantly cheaper than at the grocery store.

Cons

Received moldy tasting oats. It is more shredded than grain.
