Pros

Steam train, dream train is a lighthearted story of a child's dream. Our grandchildren love all the goodnight construction books, but this one by far the most. One of my sons favorites. Grandson fan of author and trains.

Just the right length for a bedtime story. The rhyme and rhythm of the words are adorable. It has strong sturdy pages and the illustrations are lovely.

Cute story, interesting prospective. This book reads easy.

Cons

Goodnight, goodnight construction site is a far superior book. The writing in this book is awkward. It's well loved, but he's gentle, and we've already lost two pages.

I find that to be true in a couple of places but not bad enough to greatly diminish the quality and value of the book

Reading some of the one and two star reviews i realize some have problems with the rhythm of the verse
