Pros

I have no doubt this unit will run for at least 5 more years (with the occasional dust cleaning) comes with a nice glass container. I have yet to see how much electricity it consumes a month and will update this review accordingly.

Water tastes and smells odorless after it goes through the distiller. The water tastes so good and is sparkly clear. I believe i now have the safest healthiest water possible.

Even though our water goes through a treatment system we distill water for drinking and cooking. In the winter distilling adds a little warmth to the room (which for us is good) still distilling 2 gallons a day without trouble. I am confident that i a... Read More

Everything is stainless steel, and it doesn't appear they scrimped on any part of the design. The steam pure's filter is housed in a hard plastic and uses a stainless filter inside of it. This is the cheapest one on the market.

Its a little loud pretty big and pretty expensive so it loses a star but it works well so four stars

In the end it ended up costing over 100 for the heating element repair in shipping costs alone

The price is pretty steep but clean water is important enough for me to make such an investment
