Pros
They definitely add a haunted house or spooky mansion *. It's just the perfect rustic * for what i was looking for. The base coat is a very real, new penny copper color.
Lamps arrive fully assembled and well packed in styrofoam to prevent breakage. The battery can be changed out. The handle is on top, so they can be carried easily or left in a fixed position. A solar cell is also on top for easy access to the sun.
Cons
The rust has really disappointed me. I know that after a year it's going to look so horrible that i will probably have to throw it in the garbage. This is not a amazon shipping issue, this is definitely a manufacturer packaging issue.
Solar panels on all five units deteriorated by sun within 1 year. One lantern is always much dimmer than the other one.

Two of the five lanterns arrived each with a broken pane of glass but the exchange was quick and easy

Due to the pristine condition of both the outer and inner boxes the glass must have broken at the time the lantern was first packaged

The lanterns flicker fairly late into the night even though they do not get allday sun where they hang

Could be more water resistant to prevent water from getting inside and causing rust

These are really nice looking and well built but more decorative than functional as a light source
