It's more expensive than others yes, but i really think it's a superior product and worth the extra spend. Amazing piece of tech. Would highly recommend this product and their support staff.
Additional usb ports (a and c) are convenient for webcam (logitech brio) and keyboard.
Build quality is very good. Smooth finish, no warps, sits level, no dents or gaps around the edges. Works as intended once you work out those software kinks.
Cons
The real downfall of this dock is that it utilises displaylink. I was tasked with downloading drivers for my macbook pro to no avail. Even though the audio mixer says the audio is through the dock, nothing happens.
Buyer beware. Sent back as defective. Not a very good experience.

The default displaylink manager software does not support mac in clamshell mode macbook top closed
There are only 3 usbs type a and 1 usb type c the other is to plug into the computer

The other more at times frustrating quirk is the audio

This is a bizarre quirk and ive only been able to see fringe cases with other thunderbolt docks of this happening

Not sure if this is the dock itself a quirk of the laptop or a problem with thunderbolt 3 but while minor it can be irritating to constantly fix if you frequently dock and undock a laptop

The mac needs to have specific software installed displaylink to be able to use the extra monitors

We set up his computer and 4 k monitors and here is what i can sharethis docking station is a very powerful workstation and if you don’t need all of its features it’s going to be overkill and clearly waste of your money
