If you insert it all the way, the audio cuts out. Very fragile and cheap construction. When contacted the seller, was advised to contact manufacturers.

Com cables and adapters for years now and the quality never fails to impress me
Sound quality is good and in happy with this product
After perusing yt i found out that optical cables have lower bandwidth than rca cables
The cable is a little bit slim if you d’ont need too long buy the amazon basics one that is much thicker

Using an inexpensive optical cable is about the one category price i feel comfortable with

I wanted to try the optical audio connection to see if there is any upgrade in sound quality compared to the hdmi and i can tell you the difference is really noticeable
