Most tv mounts are wall mounthowever sometimes the wall is too far from where u are viewing the tv making the screen appear much smaller

The pole is heavy duty no worries on capacity as it seems overbuilt

Our longer term concerns are about finding the right location including an appropriate ceiling joist for the mounting and how the updown function will endure
