The port on the end is the dedicated charging port and it only works if the hub is plugged into the wall with the included ac adapter cable

I also had no problem charging my ipod using any one of these four data ports even when not using the ac adapter but that is my only ios device

While there is only one dedicated charging port the other 3 ports will charge some devices

For example we were able to get the other ports to charge our kids kindles they would not charge any of our apple devices
