Pros

If you are a woodworker or machinist who wants precision, then you know that you have found a good price on a starrett. This is an indispensable tool that i have carried in my apron since getting it.

Well machined. Expensive and worth it. It saves you time. This square is proof.

The movement is precise when the screw is loosened. It slides with exactness and no slop. It locks firmly without excessive torque on the screw. This is a double square meaning the blade can slide and be fastened as needed.

Cons

This is the second starrett 13c 6 inch double square that i've received with a bowed blade. It makes the measurement difficult and inaccurate when the blade is bowed. Practically speaking they are over priced.
