Pros
Holy cow are these things heavy duty. They are so much better than their plastic counterparts. I like starpack's products and i am going to buy other items they sell.
Cons
These tongs are great at first. The pin that acts as the hinge for the two halves of the tongs deteriorates in the dishwasher. The part that touches the food didn't melt.
After washing, there are multiple white water residues marks that's are an eyesore. Even after washing it 4 times and waiting a week, it still lingers. Wouldn't recommend for longevity.

The build quality is really sturdy 1010 reccomend the investment
But these are well made feel very sturdy

This is a sturdy item worth the cost

I have found all of the starpack silicone to be absolutely excellent

I will try out the highly rate oxo tongs for replacements which are comparable in price

I use the long ones to help me get the socks out of the washer and there is not scratching the inside

I personally prefer a locking mechanism that sticks out with a tab so that i can lock them by catching the tab on my pants or apron

As i purchased the item i contacted customer support and inquired about the companys warranty policy stating that i bought them based on the claim that the metal tips are coated with silicone rather than plastic or purely silicone or plastic heads and that i was concerned about my ability to right any wrongs

So if a product is defective well replace it with no time limit after purchase
