Cons

The “ground” base is so rough it looks like it was dragged down the road! Blade cutting edge is out of square about 1/32! I have bad vision and could easily see it was way out without using a square! Honestly quite ridiculous.

Quality

The adjustable mouth feature works quite well and ive been able to take some beautiful fine finishing cuts with it as well

This low angle block plane has all the features needed to adjust to do excellent smooth shaving especially crossgrain

Sharpened the iron with the same whetstone

Heavy weight adjustments work smoothly needs some sharpening

Price

This plane is fantastic for the cost

I believe i got excellent value for my money

I also put in a hock blade which i got for 10

Its cheap but it gets the job done

Competitiveness

I am not able to compare to a lienielsen or other high end block plane but after tuning this up it produces reliable smooth shavings

Lots more competing products exist but dollar for dollar i dont regret this purchase
