Pros
The metal grate makes it easy to clean off debris that collects on top. Found deepening the item and placing a 2 gravel cover works really well for french drains.
Cons
The joints are way too flimsy for the size and weight of each piece. Each joint is too small to support the weight of the other.

So i spent a day taking up some pavers cutting them so the trench would fit and then chipping out the concrete so it would sit flush

If connecting more than one i would use some sort of sealant in the joints flex seal or any silicone caulk should do the trick
