The shubb capo is designed for the wider necks of the 12 string guitar. The pressure adjustment screw on the shubb is the key to achieving the best intonation possible at any fret.

This capo opens to a 1316 maximum when closed it can be forced onto the neck at the 2nd fret but applies so much pressure that the strings are pulled sharp and there is no point in trying to use it beyond the 2nd fret as the neck gets thicker duh
