Pros & Cons

Pros

Valve stems work very well when converting your wheels to tubeless. Purchased these with hutchison fusion 3 tires & stan's sealant. Installed them on ksyrium premium sl wheelset.

Stan's valve stem has a built in * for an o-ring in the nut. Cut the hole, installed it, and righted the o ring. All you have to do is use the injector to inject the sealant through the valve.

Cons

I'm guessing the o ring gasket isn't big enough, but it won't hold air in my tire. Don't know what's happened to stan's as far as the valves. Be careful, stan.

Going tubeless means you want a good seal to retain all that sealant

A top notch rim tape seal is paramount then you want a tubeless valve stem that doesnt leak

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Well injecting the sealant could get messy but it isnt the stem problem

Dont cheap out on the stem you dont want to be stranded on the road

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Most folks on long mtb trips will carry a valvestem thinking itll get bent or clogged with sealant if theyre riding tubeless

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Sure that can happen but it wont happen nearly as often as shearing or breaking your valve

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If youre riding hard in rocky terrain its a matter of time until you break a valve or sheer it off and have to replace it
