Highlights
Quality
Great tool make it easy to install stair steps
The tread gauge is good quality i’ve been using a wooden one up to now and i like this better
Made risers out of some leftover lvp from the landing floor that i glued and nailed like it was wood
The tape and level are not reliable
Price
What a great product for that much money
Amazing how a relatively inexpensive tool can improve the project outcome so much
Under 20 you are getting unbelievable value out of it
So these more than paid for themselves after the first measurement
Competitiveness
This one was the least expensive and i probably have gone with the collins similar style
I reviewed a lot of the other similar tools for precision ease of assembly and cost

On the other hand i wasnt so impressed with the tape measure provided as the end piece was not 100 secure in its rivets so slid a good 11634 or so

Also note where the back of the stair tread will be in relation to the edge of the tool if the tool protrudes behind where the tread will end

I just used 134 oak treads from big box store not 34retreads34 which are way overpriced
