The only reason im taking off a star is because of the shape of the bottom of the pestle the part that is supposed to grind against the mortar

Therefore if you push the pestle against the bottom of the bowl only the edges of the bottom of the pestle actually touch the mortar not the whole bottom edge

Was using a marble one but it was rough on the inside so i had to use a toothbrush to get all her meds out of the bowl part

Works well but the inside is not polished properly which causes the chemical to stick to the sides

In the past i had to pound and pound to make all the pieces small enough to grind sometime not fine enough
