Using this fitting as an adapter from my old clawfoot tub riser thread to a new showerheads thread looks much nicer than brass and allowed us to update our old shower head love it stainless steel has no lead contamination unlike bass and doesnt break like plastic or rust like steel its a nobrainer especially after you hunt lowes and finally find the empty bin for the part you need fits perfectly and easy to install too early to determine lifetime reliability
