But the reviews talked about the need to size upso i tried the smallest i could get

The only thing wrong is the sole is too narrow compared to the size of the moccasin itself so you tend to roll off the sides

The sizing chart goes from 8 to 9 and i wear an 8 12 but the size 9 works wellnot loose at all
