Then i painted the wood the color of my wall and mounted the tv on the boards for the extra support
I did not try to put to much weight except our 48in tv but i would say tv is securely mount to this bracket
I was a little nervous mounting my 42 to my old wall so i used 2 2x4 boards and screwed them into two studs
