There is a plastic cover along the entire top of the level that is snapped into the frame

Ok really this is not the ideal level for most applications but if you need a flexible level to bridge two separate points which can not be covered by a fixed level then this is the right level for that

A 6’ leve was impractical for storing in my car and i wasn’t about to go buy a new car if i could avoid it
