Pros & Cons

Pros

We have a 55lb bluetick coonhound who is a chronic, relentless puller. I find that making corrections with my hands is much more effective than simply jerking on a slip lead. Can't wait to try it out on our hikes.

The belt is very sturdy and does its job. I look forward to buying a flirt pole and a supertug in the future if this quality is foreshadowing on the quality of the toys. Dogs are great problem solvers, once they lock in, they never give up.

The thickness of the waist band better distributes the weight of the pulling. Also, it adjusts to your waist size.

This belt is wide and i have no issues with weird twinges. In addition to the wide width, the heavier clip makes the belt much more capable of holding multiple large dogs. Can switch out the leash part whenever it loses its elasticity.

If there is a tangle i can easily untangle the leashes without worrying if something might startle the newly rescued dog. Leashes do tangle but it’s just a matter of getting them used to it.

Cons

The belt is too narrow to be comfortable.

I use a leash splitter with a short padded training handle and well made harnesses but really thought i wanted a jogging leash

I liked the waist belt idea but the bungee leash was useless to me as i have trained my dogs to stay to my left side in a modified heel position even when running

When i saw this prpduct after processing a return for the jogging leash setup that i hated i ordered it on a whim because the description sounded like it would work better for me

My only suggestion would be to put some padding on the inside of the belt

I was looking for something simple to use strong enough for hard pull hound and stubborn terrier together no elastics and fits on both my husbands 36 and my 28 waisthip area

It is designed to rest on or above the hip bones
