The hardest part is finding the joist under the carpet because mine was on the second floor and could not see where the joist are located

The instructions say how far to measure from the wall but it wasn’t accurate for my house

Just be aware that if you are learning to use the guide tool if the weight is not evenly distributed it can break the plastic
