It is all explained in the users manual the sound recording was crisp and clear and i tested the unit in both continuous and voice activated modes which can be switched on by a dial shape switch at the end of the unit that actually looks like an can function as a key holder
Its a great little usb flash drive with the added benefit of the sound recording made into once convenient little gadget that can be used discretely in many different type of applications
The instructions manual gives clear easy to follow instructions on everything you are likely to do and the recorder did an excellent job of recording voice even over a high level of background noise in a moving car
At the end of 12 hours i had over 100 sound clips and most of them were just ambient noise but i could sort the files by file size and the larger files were the only ones with any actual voice conversation so i just deleted the rest
