The bottom line is this the byrd line is a terrific value and the spyderco quality is still there
The size the quality the valueand the sharpness of this knife is fantasic
Ergonomics comfortable except for the feelof the frn
I am assuming there isnt as much fiberglass in the nylon as with the dragonfly so it needs the liners for support
Price
Spyderco byrd cara cara frncomments this knife is a steal at its current price
In this size there are none better regardless of price
My favorite spyderco is a byrd robin 2
Packaging/appearance
Byrds have a similar opening hole to the spyderco but it’s a comet shape
It cut hair right out of the box

I have a spyderco dragonfly 2 for my edc and absolutely love it
However i still wanted a spyderco knife
The badthe 8cr13mov steel on this is genuinely bad
Its made in china with a 8cr13mov stainless steel blade which is decent though not a high grade steel

It is hard for me to separate my dislike of the frn from the fit and finish but there is nothing that isnt adequate

Only had to change pocket clip from point up to point down position it is not deep pocket clip plus extended handle for lanyard hole makes it to much visible

I spent about 20 minutes cleaning it twice as more debris came out after the first cleanup
