Pros & Cons
Pros
It has the general design of one of spyderco's best products, the dragonfly 2, if improved. Just the feel of the raven is way better than the paramilitary 2 and the tenacious.
Cts-bd1 blade steel is a plus along with the shape and design of the texturized g-10 scales. The grinds are even, and the fit and finish are good, no problems.
The pocket clip is the standard spyderco unpainted stainless steel model. The position and geometry of the pocket clip generates a noticeable hotspot in the hand, but it's not terrible. The pocket clip has a smooth design with rounded edges.
The knife is crazy sharp out of the box and will shred paper to mere ribbons. Sharp enough to shave the hair off knuckles. A half-hour in a lansky sharpener and this little blade has a mirror-finished, shave-ready edge.
The knife employs teflon pivot washers (not phosphor bronze), but they work very well because blade deployment is smooth requiring thumb action only. There is a very usable finger choil on the back of the blade, which feels great for choking up on the... Read More
Cons
This is an okay little knife, but it has some issues. The design is overbuilt. Repairability is even worse. I'm really broken hearted that this is not 2. There was just too many indications that it wasn't.
I find the grip to be uncomfortable. The blade is ground past the spine, making it weaker than it should be. The clip is terrible in the hand.
Even when i loosen the pivot screws, the knife is still kind of tough.
Highlights
Quality
I liked the blade shape and size and the build quality is rock solid especially with the nice g10 handles and lock back
The build quality is excellent and the materials are better than the price would suggest
I like the concept of spydercos more premium product the dragonfly 2 but the ergonomics in my hand just dont work
The knife built quality is decent the ergonomic is good the blade a bit off centered not a big issue
Packaging/appearance
Blade was sharp right out of the box
Its sharp right out of the box
Competitiveness
Overall this is a highquality budget edc knife and it will see pocket time in my daily carry rotation
Great price for a spyderco with good steel
If it had spyderco branding you would think it was a 100 knife
In essence it’s a budget spyderco domino

Unfortunately the blade is too long to be carried in boston by a 14 and the nypd would likely determine that this is a dangerous gravity knife somehow
